Last summer I decided to coordinate and plan my first styled shoot! The best part is that I got to plan it with one of the kindest people and photographers I’ve met in Milwaukee; Alison from Grace Creatives!
I met Alison in April of 2019 at a networking event for creatives and entrepreneurs. We learned we had both recently relocated to Milwaukee (me from Wichita, Kansas and her from Denver, Colorado), and were both coming back home to the midwest to be closer to family. After getting to know one another over a few months, we threw out the idea of planning a styled shoot together to help get both of our names into the Milwaukee wedding world.
As we began planning, we decided that not only did we want the shoot to help spread our names, but we wanted to work with a select number of wedding vendors that were also newer to the Milwaukee wedding scene. And let me tell you, we got to work with some of THE BEST vendors around! I’ve now had the pleasure of working with some of them for real weddings this past year.
We wanted our shoot to appear as much as a real wedding day as possible, highlighting aspects of a day. Getting ready, details, couples photos. During planning, we noticed that a lot of styled shoots were extremely over the top, and not ideal to help connect with a traditional couple.
I’m thankful for everyone involved!
