Last year in September, I had the honor of traveling to the Adirondack Mountains in Lake Placid, New York to photograph the wedding of Adam and Naomi!
Their beautiful ceremony and reception took place some farmland connected with Cornell University in Lake Placid. Adam is basically the maple syrup king of New York. He works for Cornell, heading up the research of maple syrup! HOW COOL IS THAT?! So, obviously they served pancakes at their rehearsal dinner and then on the wedding day they gave all of their guests maple syrup that he made himself as a thank you for coming to their wedding.
Every little detail of their day, fully reflected who they are as a couple and the things they love to do together (check out what they used to keep the beer cold… so cool!). They are both passionate about the outdoors, plants, upstate New York and the Adirondack mountains, so [obviously] their backdrop was perfect in every which way!
Plus, how DREAMY are their floral arrangements!? They are some of the most incredible flowers that I’ve ever photographed. I seriously dream about them and wish my yard was filled with the magic that they are.
It was beyond an honor photographing their wedding!… did I also mention that Adam is my brother-in-law?! Yep, he’s my husband’s brother. So not only did I get to photograph a beautiful wedding, but we gained the sweetest sister!
Also, fun fact about these two!… Adam is the fourth born of five boys and Naomi is the fourth born of five girls!
Happy one year (and a couple months) Anniversary, you guys! We can’t wait to make our way to Lake Placid and the Adirondack mountains again!
