My first official Milwaukee wedding was an absolute DREAM!
Morning weddings anyone?! I’ve photographed a few over the years and there’s something about them that feels a bit more quiet, intimate and still. Plus, who doesn’t love a good breakfast buffet to celebrate afterwards?!
Adam and Brittney had a three week long engagement and only dated for about four months (when you know, you know!). They had so many beautiful things happen during their short dating relationship that made it all so clear that the Lord had brought them together. Just one example is that before they even met, Brittney was praying about being married. In her prayers she talked to God about not wanting to change her last name. Fast forward to meeting Adam… guess what? THEY HAVE THE SAME FREAKIN’ LAST NAME!
Adam and Brittney got engaged while on a walk in Grant Park in Milwaukee right on Lake Michigan. And after they decided they wanted to get married, they started scouting in the park for where they could hold their wedding celebration (they knew they wanted something small and intimate). As they started searching, Brittney told Adam to turn around and look at the tree that was directly behind him. Right there, on the tree was a heart, with a cross and A+B engraved on it (this carving was NOT done by them). This was just another amazing and divine moment in their love journey.
There were so many more that they shared with me, but I was completely honored when they asked me to photograph their wedding; and I’m so glad that I was free since I had only about two weeks notice!
A and B declared their love for one another on a beautiful morning in late September, in the middle of Grant Park. They stood on the side of a ravine, right next to that heart, cross and A+B, as their 35 guests stood down below. Afterwards, everyone in attendance made the five minute walk to the beach, where Adam did a reading of a book he had written. Everyone then headed to an overlook of Lake Michigan, where breakfast appetizers and hors d’oeuvres were served into the early afternoon to celebrate the beautiful couple!
It was a magical morning and I could not have asked for a better wedding to kick off JWild Photography being in Milwaukee!
